Taking Art courses enables the student to learn the process of critical and analytical thinking; thus causing the student to respond creatively to established criteria and requirements. These criteria are open enough to allow students to express their personal creative ideas. Art courses help individuals to look at life in a diverse way and should not be thought of as courses for only students seeking professional careers in art. Students who plan a professional art career are offered a number of classes to choose from beyond their requirements.
