The purpose of this course is to explore topics of law that are particularly relevant to the lives of students.  Street Law provides a basic foundation in law by introducing students to the basics of the legal system, ethics, criminal law and juvenile justice, torts, consumer and housing law, family law, and individual rights and liberties. The course revolves around strategies such as discussion, role playing, small group activities, opinion polls, and visual analysis experiences, as well as, mock trials and moot court simulations. The overall value of this course will be seen in a greater understanding of the laws you live under and the impact of them on society.
